ITINERARY

Day 01 SATURDAY   IQUITOS-RIO AMAZONAS

Upon arrival in the morning, our crew will warmly welcome you at Iquitos International Airport and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon,You will have the opportunity to get to know the historic city of Iquitos and we will visit an Amazonian indigenous community.

Day 02 SUNDAY   RIO YARAPA-LAGO CLAVERO

Aboard our comfortable skiffs, we will set sail from the Amazon to the Yarapa River. Have your binoculars ready to watch tropical birds, hawks, and sloths. Can fish with cane to the ferocious piranhas of the Amazon, while our guides tell stories of Lake Moringo.

In the afternoon, we will sail on Lake Clavero, where the villagers travel in traditional canoes. You can swim in the calm waters of the lake or visit the native residents who You will be welcomed into your Amazon community with open arms.

Day 03 MONDAY   RIO YANALLPA- RIO DORADO

We will explore the black water tributaries of the Yanallpa River by skiff, then disembark and enter the Amazon jungle, rich in wildlife. Later, we will return to the boats to navigate the El Dorado River and go on an excursion in search of exotic nocturnal creatures.

Day 04 TUESDAY  NAUTA – MANATIES RESCUE CENTER-IQUITOS AIRPORT

In the morning, we will take a guided tour of the local market, where you will discover the wonderful variety of regional products from the Peruvian Amazon and delight in exotic sandwiches if you wish.

Then, we will return to Aqua Nera to enjoy breakfast and pack your bags. Before saying goodbye, we will make a last stop at the Manatee Rescue Center, a very special type of orphanage for Amazonian manatees, where they are rescued and rehabilitated so that they return to their natural habitat.
